This is the Prayer Letter for June. Please use this list to target praying in your group over the next month. The prayer requests focus on quality rather than quantity.
Sunday
There is every likelihood of Duncan and Ann leading a church 'plant' from St. John's into Skelmersdale when they leave. Let's pray that this will happen, that any obstacles will be overcome, and that the Lord will continue to open doors in thi regard. Pray for the teambuilding, which will be necessitated by such a venture, that the right team will come together and work well together. Pray for Duncan and Ann that this move will be blessed by the Lord.
Monday
Continue to pray for the Chile Mission, for both fellowships here and in Chile. Pray that enthusiasm will increase and that the Lord is preparing everyone for a wonderful outpouring of His Spirit in love and thankfulness for all He has done. Continue to pray for Terry and Pancha as they spearhead the arrangements and the building programme in Chile, and thank God for their dedication and witness.
Tuesday
Neil is to lead a national conference on "Leading your church into growth" Let's pray for him as he witnesses that he might be a stirring influence, encouraging the faithfull to "go and make disciples". Thank God for sending him to Burscough, but ask God to use him more and more encouraging others in mission.
Wednesday
Pray for the Skelmersdale mission and all the preparations. Pray for good strong fellowship between our churches and that He is even now preparing the hearts of those who are seeking him. Pray for more people to get involved in mission and ask that the Lord will be with us in everything we do.
Thursday
Pray for the initiative taking place over the next months whereby Duncan and other helpers will be visiting the housegoups to encourage us in the vital ministry of prayer. Pray that this will be a blessing and a stimulus to people who find prayer difficult.
Friday
The Truro mission is scheduled for 31st March to 6th April; start to pray for the preparations being made both here and in the church in Truro. Ask the Lord to prepare the hearts and minds of those He wants to draw to Himself, Thank God for the opportunity afforded by this event, in the lives of both churches.
Saturday
Thank God for the continuing enthusiasm for 24:7; continue to pray that more leaders will come forward, and pray for the youth and children's work plan for 2003, that the Lord will bless and guide the leaders and continue to encourage them in their work with these young people.
